Avaya G250 Media Gateway
The G250 is for small branch offices with 2 to 14 extensions within a large business. This enables busineses extend the features and benefits of company's Avaya Communication Manager IPT solution to their branch offices.
The gateway enables businesses with multisites have effectively 1 seamless communications network.
The 2U high 19" rack mount gateway has inbuilt advanced IP WAN router, a VPN gateway and a high-performance LAN switch. The G250 requires a centralized Avaya Media Server running Avaya Communication Manager to function, it has several survivability options so should connection to the main server be lost communications can continue running.
The TDM/IP architecture provides seamless connectivity and communications for analogue, digital, H.323 and SIP-based IP telephony telephones and applications.
The G250 media gateway can also connect to an external WAN device via a fixed 10/100 Ethernet WAN router port, which supports traffic shaping to match data transfer rates with available WAN bandwidth.
