Avaya 9640 and 9640G IP Handset

The 9640 IP Telephone has a high resolution coloured screen. Again as with the 9630 handset this is for people who use the phone as an everyday part of their job. The 9640G model has the same functionality as the 9640, but supports Gigabit Ethernet.

The 9640 has a high fidelity wideband audio speaker and includes a larger display capable of showing six concurrent call appearances. The 9640 supports a total of 24 call appearance/feature keys and provides built-in support for mobility via a dedicated call forward/mobility button.

This phone has one-touch access to features like Extension to Cellular (EC500).

The 9640 has several LED buttons throughout the front of the phone; Message, Mute, Forward, Speaker, Headset, Contact Directory, Call Log and Menu. There are 6 LED line appearance buttons to the right of the large display which can also be programmed to other features.

The 9640 is simple and intuititve, completing call transfers and setting up conference calls can be carried out easily. Avaya Communication Manager features such as Extension to Cellular and Extend Current Call are examples of features critical to the essential user.

And with the colour screen - it looks quite flashy!
