iPhone Apps from G3

G3 has developed and released an iPhone application that enables you to use the Avaya EC500 (extension to mobile application) on your mobile without the need for a separate server. All you need is EC500 user licenses.
G3 has called this application G3 Mobile X, or G3 Mobile Extension. You control your deskphone extension on your iPhone.
When you launch the application a G3 Mobile X splash screen is displayed.
The Phone Menu which follows the splash screen, displays
Cancel
EC500 on (enables your deskphone calls to be bridged to the iPhone)
EC500 off
Park Call
Automatic Call Back
When EC500 is on and you go to use the telephone part of your iPhone, the keypad displayed gives you the option to choose Mobile or Office:
-
Choose office for call via Avaya ACM
-
Choose mobile for call via GSM network
The application enables you to:
-
Control mobile costs (as calls are routed to the PBX not the GSM Netowrk)
-
Dial via active directory or contacts
-
Displays your office CLI in office mode
If you have call recording on the ACM, call are recorded and logged
Exclusive to G3 customers
G3 has Worldwide rights and developed the application in house...........

Support
Once you have downloaded the application you will need to enable the application by following these steps:
-
Enable the Avaya Communication Manager EC500 feature on your ACM platform.
-
Set EC500 to 'Individual User' (you may need your Avaya maintainer to help you here)
-
Configure the settings on your Mobile-X application on your iPhone, open the application and Tap Menu
-
Scroll down and Tap Settings
-
Tap Settings File and enter the numbers and codes taken from your EC500 setting on your ACM.
-
Alternatively use this sample settings file and amend the details using an HTML editor with your numbers from your EC500. You'll need to host this on a URL and then download it to the iPhone under 'Download Settings File' within the Mobile-X application.
