How Hosted VoIP Works

The hosted IP Telephony solution, ihost, can be deployed over any IP connection.  A major benefit of the ihost platform is the highly resilient network that's in place to ensure the reliability of your service.

Dual redundant server stacks supporting the voice and all applications are located at the two major London hosting centres. These locations are linked via dark fibre to provide a mirrored architecture that provides a seamless cut over in the event of failure at one of the locations.

To further enhance the resilience multiple WEB, PSTN and IP Exchange interconnects are in place to ensure the network remains operational at all levels.

This level of connectivity and server redundancy allows the best possible service levels to be attained and is way ahead of most other competitive products. Please see the diagram below for a snapshot of the topology.
