IP Telephony
Using IP for your business communications improves your company's customer relations and empowers your staff wherever they may be located (office, home office, on the road, remote office etc). IP can also considerably reduce the cost of communications by centralising management and maximising the efficiency of network operations.
Avaya Communication Manager
Avaya Communication Manager (ACM) is designed for businesses with mixed manufacturer and multi-site network environments. ACM is the call processing software with voice applications such as, messaging and contact centre functions that resides on MultiVantage hardware. Developed by Avaya and with over 700 features it provides the highest level of voice quality; it's scalable to meet the changing needs of the smallest to largest enterprises, and provides five nines reliability.
As the core telephony software for the Avaya MultiVantage, ACM enables you to introduce IP telephony when and where it makes the best sense for your business (eg for home workers, mobile workers, hot desks) whilst making the most of your existing Avaya DEFINITY investment.
ACM is an evolution of the award-winning Avaya DEFINITY platform and provides industry leading, intelligent call processing to your business. As well as full telephony functionality, it enables call control on a dynamic call-by-call basis - then takes this to the next level by adding new applications, infrastructure and devices.
Communication Manager can be designed to operate in a distributed or networked call-processing environment and supports all manner of PSTN, ISDN, IP, wireless, analogue and digital protocolsincluding the latest, SIP (Session Initiation Protocol).
With Avaya Communication Manager you can migrate to IP Telephony at your own pace or upgrade to a complete IP solution in one move, it's your choice. Whatever the decision, you'll be safe in the knowledge that any investment you make will move you forwards. More importantly, this investment will be in a solution that evolves with your business.
Avaya has an enviable and proven record of backwards-compatibility for hardware and subsidised upgrade costs for software. The world-class DEFINITY platform has been sold globally for over 16 years and can be completely leveraged when customers are ready to upgrade to MultiVantage, enabling DEFINITY users to retain up to 90% of their existing investment.
