Avaya Media Servers

Avaya's media servers provide scalable building blocks to create fully-customised communications solutions. They are Linux-based to provide a robust and reliable application platform to support distributed IP-networking and centralised call processing across multi-protocol networks. All Avaya servers support industry-standard call control, management functions, quality of service (QoS), and support IP, digital, and analogue endpoints.

The servers are also fully-survivable to provide enterprise-wide disaster recovery, and in the event of an outage can maintain a dial plan across your network and capture vital information such as call detail records. For even greater resilience, additional survivable servers can be strategically placed around your network to provide remote back-up in the event of a main server failure.

Avaya S8300 Media Server
S8300 can be used as a standalone solution for a small business or as a remote, fully survivable edge device for a larger enterprise network.

Recommended for IP-Centric, sub-150 user installations

Avaya S8400 Media Server
S8400 is ideal for businesses with a restricted budget, but who place high value on dependable systems that protect their investment and can help them grow with their communication needs.

Recommended for blended IP/Digital, sub-50 user installations.

Avaya S8800 Media Server

S8800 is the newest server and is based on the powerful Intel Xeon E5500 series (Nehalem) processor. The server delivers a rock solid foundation for a highly flexible converged solution that meets a variety of telephony needs. The S8800 Server comes equipped with a RAID controller and standard redundant hard disk drive. A second power supply is available as an option in some server configurations.
