Avaya Management Suite
The Avaya Aura Communication Manager comes with an integrated management suite that provides a clever set of tools to simplify system administration, provisioning, network monitoring, and fault and performance management. The easy-to-use, Web-based interface helps to get systems up-and-running fast and keep them optimised, thus saving time and money.
Popular tools include:
Avaya Fault & Performance Manager: This tool provides a map showing the status and performance of the devices on your network. It can alert you (or the G3 Helpdesk) when voice system faults or performance issues occur, help you identify and isolate problems, and provide tools to help you fix them. The Fault & Performance Manager also collects data, such as system exceptions and performance measurements, which can easily be turned into reports and graphs.
Avaya VoIP Monitoring Manager: This VoIP Quality of Service (QoS) monitoring and feedback tool allows you to visualize the real-time operation of VoIP systems. You can view detailed QoS data, such as jitter, round-trip time (RTT), and packet loss, and it provides tools to isolate or troubleshoot problems. Performance data can be exported into Microsoft Excel to build reports, and you can set ‘traps' which tell the VoIP Monitoring Manager to alert you when the jitter, RTT, or packet loss reaches certain levels.
Avaya Converged Network Analyser (CNA): The Avaya CNA gives system administrators visibility into the performance of IP paths for voice and data applications across their converged IP network. The CNA optimises the network applications by comparing business policies (such as application priorities, expected network behavior, and cost preferences) with real-time data to produce specific avoidance or corrective behaviours.
