Avaya Aura Communication Manager software delivers highly-reliable and feature rich application that powers Avaya's IP Telephony and Unified Communications solutions. Designed to run on a variety of Linux-based Avaya Media Servers, S8300, S8400, S8500, S8730, S8800. It uses open-standards based SIP, H.323 and other industry standard protocols to create a framework capable of orchestrating all applications and systems across your network.

Sitting at the heart of a distributed network of Avaya Media Gateways, it provides centralised call control for all types of analogue, digital, and IP-based communications traffic. It has several advanced applications built-in, including mobility, call centre, and advanced conference functionality. And it has a variety of security features to guard against attack, such as Gateway Access Security and media encryption.

The current release of software for Avaya Communiction Manager is 5.2 (ACM 5.2).
